“Born Into Fame” is one of the trending reality shows in South Africa at the moment, with some children of famous figures as part of the cast. Among them is AJ, the son of celebrated kwaito veteran Arthur Mafokate.
AJ recently gave a clue about his life as the son of Arthur Mafokate, noting there are enormous challenges and pressure to being a Mafokate.
Like his father, he is a musician. Also, according to him, the things that are in the news have a direct impact on his career. He pointed out that people tend to overlook him and his sister and focus on what’s said about their father. He would rather not have it that way.

Indeed, Arthur Mafokate has found himself in several scandals, including being an alleged beneficiary of lottery funds. Despite it all, the 999 Records boss is adamant he has done nothing wrong.
Well, for AJ, it’s great being a Mafokate, being on “Born Into Fame” has given him the opportunity to share with the public a side of them they were unaware of previously, including that he has a deep bond with his sister Owami Mafokate, who also happens to be a part of the show.
