The word poison is a big scare for most people, and for good reasons. It is never a good experience being poisoned, but sometimes life takes a turn that people neither want nor pray for.
This is the reality of South African singer Rethabile Khumalo, who is battling for her life in hospital after being poisoned by a friend.
The last some people heard of Rethabile was probably in November last year when she announced her pregnancy, as well as the gender of the child she was expecting. Life has since taken a fearful turn of sorts for her.
In a post on her official Instagram page, Rthsbile’s mother Win oe Lhumalo shared about her daughter’s illness, pointing out that she initially wanted to keep quiet until her daughter was fully recovered.
Well, she changed her mind and decided to share the tragedy with the public while also urging them to pray for Rethabile whenever they are praying. The revelation came as a shock to many South Africans, as you can see from the responses below.
Many wished her a quick recovery and some wanted to know which of her friends must have poisoned her. The identity was never given.
