“Skeem Saam” star Amanda Manku has opened up about her father killing her mom and her gogo.
It is so heartbreaking to think about what Amanda Manku must be going through. The “Skeem Saam” actress and SuperSport presenter recently opened up about her dad allegedly ordering the hit that claimed the lives of her mother and grandmother.
According to a report by The South African, Gladys Manku and her mother, Lettie Maphuthuma, were shot and killed in May 2021. Three years after their murders, Amanda’s father William Manku, also a police captain, was arrested for allegedly ordering the hit on them.
She opened up about it during a recent question-and-answer session on her Instagram page. The South African reports that a follower asked the actress about her emotional well-being since her father was arrested, and she said,
“This question, I think it requires one to kind of dig deep in. I am okay. I think there is a lot going on in my personal life right now that if I was not strong, it could get me down, but I don’t have that option. Unfortunately, I don’t have the option to be weak. I don’t have the privilege of being weak. I have to be strong.”
“There are some hectic things that I think a lot of people know about that have been in the limelight. Particularly is losing my parents and the aftermath of that but other than that we move.”
