ASAP Rocky and Rihanna have been making more public appearances lately. The couple took a break from the spotlight for a few years to focus on starting a family, but it seems they are now ready to release new music and regain popularity. On May 15, they were spotted enjoying a date night and seemed to be having a great time. A video of them went viral, and one of the highlights was when ASAP Rocky decided to do karaoke. He took the mic and serenaded Rihanna with a classic rap single from Cam’ron and Juelz Santana, “Oh Boy.” A fan recorded the moment on their phone, capturing Rihanna looking directly into the camera as Rocky rapped. She mouthed, “That’s my baby daddy,” amidst the chatter in the club. They tried to keep up with the song but eventually laughed it off as they ran out of steam. The club cheered on Rocky’s performance, showing their support.
Rihanna’s partner, ASAP Rocky, was also visibly proud that night. In a separate video, he can be seen politely warning a man not to make romantic advances towards Rihanna. Although the situation seemed tense, the rapper diffused it with humour, assuring the man that he was joking. They then shook hands and continued to enjoy the evening.
ASAP Rocky’s choice of Cam’ron’s “Oh Boy” was intentional. The rapper is a big fan of Cam and the entire Dipset crew. In a 2013 interview with Google Play, Rocky selected the album “Come Home with Me,” featuring “Oh Boy,” as one of his all-time favourites. He explained that Dipset was everything to him at the time, and he admired their flashy, striking, and gangsta style. Cam’ron has reciprocated the love, praising ASAP Mob for upholding the Dipset legacy.
