Boy Dies After Parents Forcefully Removed Him From Modjadji Initiation School

A boy has died after he was forcefully removed from the Modjadji Initiation School by his parents.

According to a recent report by SowetanLIVE, a young boy has died after he was forcibly removed from an initiation school by his parents. Also, in a different news, a 35-year-old man was allegedly assaulted during a fight between a group of initiation school supervisors in two separate incidents in Limpopo which led to his passing.

The Limpopo department of co-operative governance, human settlements, and traditional affairs (COGHSTA) has also shared a statement revealing that both incidents are currently under investigation.

The publication also reports that on Monday, the department spoke against misinformation about occurrences at several initiation schools in the Greater Letaba local municipality.

They also addressed recent events involving initiation schools. Tsakani Baloyi, the department’s spokesperson stated that an investigation is being carried out to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of the young boy who was forcefully removed from Modjadji Initiation School by his parents on Saturday.

According to Baloyi, the boy died the next day while he was with his parents at home. The cause of his death is yet to be known. He said,

“Our heartfelt condolences go out to the bereaved family during this difficult time.”
