Bruce Springsteen Postpones Four European Shows Owing To “Vocal Issues”

Legendary Country singer Bruce Springsteen is on a medically mandated hiatus.

Due to “vocal issues,” the 74-year-old singer temporarily pulled the plug on four gigs in Europe on his E Street Band 2024 World Tour. The announcement was made via a statement posted on Springsteen’s Instagram account.

The statement also announced the postponement of the May 28 and June 1 and 3 performances at San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy, and Airport Letnany in Prague, Czech Republic. Fans flooded the comment area with best wishes for the rock singer. The band’s 2024 European tour is scheduled to begin on May 5 at Cardiff, Wales’ Principality Stadium and run through July 24, when they visit London, England’s Wembley Stadium.

Among the destinations Springsteen will be visiting during the tour are Barcelona, Spain; Nijmegen, Netherlands; Hannover, Germany; and Stockholm, Sweden. Peptic ulcer illness forced Springsteen to postpone a few of his September 2023 tour dates. In March, he performed once again in Phoenix, Arizona.

A number of tour dates had been postponed prior to September 2023, including two in August 2023 and three in March 2023 “due to illness” for Springsteen, who was “taken ill.” Several songs from Springsteen’s extensive career are included in the tour’s set list, including most of his chart-topping hits.
