Dame Dash Reveals He Was Confident Jay-Z And Nas Beef Would Never Get Violent

Dame Dash recently spoke about the world of rap battles, delving into the comparison between the Drake vs Kendrick Lamar clash and the historic Jay-Z vs Nas feud. According to Dash, the latter was the most remarkable battle he had ever witnessed due to its intense nature. He expressed surprise at the level of intensity in the exchanges between Drake and Lamar. However, in the case of Jay-Z vs. Nas, Dash was unwavering in his confidence from the beginning.

During his Moguls in the Making podcast appearance, Dash reflected on the iconic battle between Jay-Z and Nas, emphasizing that he never felt concerned for his safety or Jay-Z’s. He was certain that Nas would not resort to violence.

He told the hosts,

“There was no fear of us getting hurt when it came to Nas,”

“I’m telling you right now, there was no fear of any violence when it came to that. There was no fear when it came to us of any battle that we had when it came to violence. We were never worried about that.”

When pressed to clarify the violent point, Dash likened the fight to Biggie vs. 2Pac, which took place years earlier. “Now that Pac and Biggie were killed, n**gas,” he declared. However, n**gas are now killed in hip-hop. They are fighting until they are killed. Now that it’s a little more serious,” Dash was being complimentary when he said that Nas wasn’t the kind to use violence because he knew the musician wasn’t a violent person. Since the feud has ended, Dame Dash has been more critical of Jay-Z. He has regretted their falling out and acknowledged Jay-Z’s success in the industry. Despite their differences, Dash still recognizes Jay-Z’s talent and impact on hip-hop.

When Jay-Z apologized to Nas after releasing the diss track “Super Ugly,” Dash was incensed. He disclosed this to the CEO Show hosts in 2023. Dash’s reaction to Jay-Z’s apology to Nas was unexpected, revealing the depth of his feelings towards the situation. This incident sheds light on the complexities of their relationship and the lingering effects of their feud. Thankfully, as Dash pointed out, everyone involved has survived that era and now has the chance to reflect on the conflict.
