Diddy Apology “Not Acceptable” Says 50 Cent

Music producer and social media celebrity Diddy formally apologized to Cassie for his irreparable acts after the video of the attack went viral. The latter was a reported violent attack; CNN acquired footage of the attack on Friday, May 17. Due to the highly unsettling images it featured, it soon went viral. Diddy eventually caught up to her when she attempted to depart the hotel where he and she were staying. The incident has sparked outrage and calls for accountability from fans and the public. Diddy’s apology included a commitment to seek help and address his behaviour.

He kicked Cassie, hit her in the head, grabbed her belongings, and even flung something while she was on the ground. Support for Diddy’s former partner and disdain for him has been evident among fans. Naturally, 50 Cent was one of those who offered commentary. 50 keeps up with Diddy’s every step; upon seeing the apology, he reacts immediately. 50 Cent criticized Diddy’s behavior. He asked supporters to join in holding abusers responsible for their actions. He called the apology video a “bad move” and emphasized the importance of standing up against domestic violence and supporting victims. 50 Cent’s words added to the growing chorus of voices demanding accountability from Diddy.

A few moments later, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office responded to the video. They admitted that they could not do anything about it because of the assault’s period and the recently passed statute of limitations. This made 50 Cent come up with a hypothesis. Even though Diddy is “truly sorry,” nothing will change anyone’s mind, especially 50 Cent’s.

“This is why they put that tape out; they know they can’t charge him with what we saw, but they know we can’t unsee what we saw.”

“This is not going to work, who is advising him right now? SMH bad move @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi.”
