Amapiano star DJ Melzi says he is not related to Dr Masuku, the fraud-accused IEC commissioner.
DJ Melzi wants nothing to do with anyone who would tarnish his image in public. The Piano star has reportedly dismissed rumours that he is related to the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) commissioner Dr Nomsa Masuku who is in the news for her arrest on allegations of fraud.
According to a report by IOL, the famous hitmaker has been linked to the embattled commissioner on social media by several people. However, DJ Melzi is speaking out following claims that he is Dr Masuku’s son and that she helped him buy a R4.3 million Mercedes Benz. The DJ had this to say;
“Recent rumours and speculation about my relation to Dr Masuku are completely unfounded and untrue. I would like to clarify that I have no affiliation or relationship with Dr Masuku and I are not involved in any way.”
He revealed that his parents are very private people.
” Furthermore, I would like to mention that my parents are very private and appeal to all, not to involve them in social media platforms,”
According to the publication, Masuku was charged with fraud which amounts to R1.2 million during her tenure heading Standard Bank’s Corporate Social Investment Programme.
