These albums showcase the best in musicianship, storytelling, recording, and production, and lastly, albums that are timeless and transcend genre boundaries. These albums were selected based on their lasting impact and influence in the music industry. The voting process aimed to recognize albums that have stood the test of time and continue to inspire listeners across generations.
Thus far, the list features a good representation of hip-hop. The modern stars of the genre appeared right at the beginning of the unveiling. The first ten albums feature both Travis Scott and Tyler, The Creator. 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg’s albums came out soon after them. The list also includes appearances by Drake, Outkast, Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, Biggie, A Tribe Called Quest, Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, Eminem, N.W.A., Missy Elliott, De La Soul, Tupac, Beastie Boys, Drake, and Nas.
Furthermore, a lot of people believe that Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly will be among the top 10. Additionally, there is speculation that Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy will be cut. Both albums are considered modern classics in the hip-hop genre.
