By accusing rapper and erstwhile friend Flash Ikumkani of owing him money, Emtee has caused some commotion. The rapper from Manando stated that he gave the budding hip-hop musician some money, but his career never took off. People close to Emtee reportedly went above and beyond to open doors for Flash in accordance with their agreement.
Rapper Emtee wants a reimbursement from the upcoming artist Flash Ikumkani. The rapper from Manando asserted that starting his rap career required a significant financial and time commitment. With his remarks accusing artist Flash Ikumkani of owing him money on Twitter, Emtee caused a social media stir.
He said,
“I’m not letting things slide. I invested in that man. Ima hit him up, and he has to pay me,” “When I see Flash, Imma whip him with a belt.”
ZiMoja reported that Emtee’s close friends stated the rapper went extra lengths to make things happen for Flash, as agreed upon. Flash, however, broke up with Emtee after his career didn’t take off as expected.
“Emtee invested financially in him as a label and manager should for their artist. He paid for studio time, music videos, image branding, etc.”
It was also claimed that Flash had “bad mouthed” Emtee to other industry players, saying he “never did anything for him.”
“They no longer work together, but Flash is still speaking badly of him. He started going around saying Emtee had done nothing for his career, and that is not true.”
