She is one of the notable music voices out of South Africa, and while it might appear that she is no longer active with her charming “afrorave” beats, the songstress is actually still out there, with a lot to share with her audience.
Well, she gave them a peek into her reality recently in a chat with her fans on X, noting that it has not been easy for her in exile. In her words, “There’s a lot I’m facing, I’m in exile.”
She should know. After all, she is the one being slapped by reality as we speak, after making the decision to leave South Africa for the United Kingdom, where she currently lives.
With the advent of social media, the word “exile” may have lost its meaning or appeal given how interconnected the globe is today, but the songstress still uses the word.
She explained that she is in exile although many people don’t call it that anymore. By her own account, she was exiled because they – she never explained who “they” are – are allergic to the truth she speaks about the system back home.
