It is no longer news that Emtee and Flash Ikumkani have a falling out. Details about the crisis that engulfed their relationship are still seeping as we write.
Emtee had given a clue into the whole drama when he took to social media to claim that Flash is owing him. He claimed to have made investments into Flash’s career and that Flash would have to pay him or he would whip him with a belt when they met.
After what should pass for a brief silence, Flash had addressed the whole issue, pointing out that he paid for everything himself – the videos released while under Emtee Records.
He, however, graciously admitted that Emtee helped him with promotions and visibility, boosting his profile online by posting about him every other week, This resulted in his getting more followers on social media.
Flash said he was traumatised while at Emtee Records. What he had visualised wasn’t what he saw when he joined Emtee Records, so at some point he decided that he would leave. And he did.
He has no regrets about leaving the record label though. Still, he’s thankful for the support he got from the “DIY” rapper while he was signed to his record label.
