Focalistic Talks South African Music, His Place In the Scheme Of Things & So Much More

He is one musician many South Africans have their eyes on and for good reason. He ditched school for music and has been able to make a success of it. Now many consider him an inspiration. Meet Focalistic.

The songster recently had a sit-down with TimesLIVE during which he dwelled on many subjects, from South African music, his love of music, down to his ambitions of taking his sound international. Hitherto unknown aspects of him and his life were laid bare during the interview.

As one who has travelled to several countries in the world, he has experienced the entertainment industry in other countries and believes that South Africa is not as serious about its entertainment industry as it should be.

But he also readily conceded that the country’s entertainment industry is at least making some progress in the right direction. He also expressed the hope the industry will get there eventually.

Asked about some of the things he is grateful for, he noted that he is grateful for his talent, for being born in Pretoria and for experiencing music the way he is experiencing it – “When I hear a song I get goosebumps.”

Many South Africans will tell you they have the same feeling.
