“Honestly, Nevermind,” Drake’s New Album, Is Being Compared To “More Life” By Fans

Human needs are insatiable and most Drake fans just have a way of rubbing that in with each new record he puts out. So has been the case since the 6 god surprisingly dropped his seventh studio album, “Honestly, Nevermind.” The album no one saw coming was released yesterday at midnight on Friday, June 17th.

“Honestly, Nevermind” follows his Grammy-nominated project, “Certified Lover Boy”, by barely nine months. This project is fresh and unexpected – not exactly because it was just announced, but because Drake went in a different direction with it, which now has a good number of his fans debating.

The new LP sounds nothing like the subpar 2021 album Certified Lover Boy, which felt like the Canadian rapper was rehashing the same melodies and trying to play it a little too safe. For many, the new release feels like a departure from the norm, and it’s a shift in tone that the internet can’t seem to agree on.

This has raised a comparison amongst his fans on social media, as his previous studio effort, “More Life” is being pit against “Honestly, Nevermind” owing to the somewhat similar nature of sounds on both albums which has the production influence of Grammy Award-winning South African producer and DJ, Black Coffee.
