Jay-Z and Tom Brady have been advising rookie NFL players on handling elite business and professional sports. Over the weekend, Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Malik Nabers, and other NFL rookies were brought together for an “invaluable” sit-down organized by Fanatics founder Michael Rubin, along with Hov and the former quarterback for the New England Patriots. Instagram users saw photos that Rubin shared from the gathering.
“Breakfast with Jay and Tom & $500k but seriously awesome morning with @tombrady @jayz and our @fanatics NFL rookies discussing sports and business!”
Rubin recorded the sit-down and thanked Brady and Jay-Z for doing it. Additionally, Rubin stated,
“Tommy and Jay thank you so much for the invaluable advice and knowledge you shared – this was such an incredible opportunity for these rooks before they take their first snap. Big things ahead for this group – can’t wait to watch you all crush it on and off the field!” Business partner and buddy of Rubin, Meek Mill, continued, saying, “I had that million dollar convo with Jigga in that same house i pray it works lol.”
Afterwards, JAY-Z and Brady’s wise counsel were featured in recordings of the event that Rubin later released. Beyoncé’s spouse went on,
“Your talent gets you there; your work ethic and discipline take you to where you want to be,”
“You gotta know who you are ’cause those moments are gonna come. You’re gonna be down 28-0 and you gotta say, ‘Aright, I know who I am. I’ma go get it.’”
Tom Brady added,
“You’re gonna evolve or you’re not. You’re gonna keep evolving or you’re not. And if you’re not, the world still spins. If you’re forever curious, you’ll always keep getting better.”
The rookies learned some valuable business lessons from Jay-Z and Tom Brady. There’s little doubt that Tom Brady gave some advice on how to maximize your NFL career. Even new Patriots rookie quarterback Drake May and he got together. For these extremely wealthy people, it’s a nice gesture overall. It is precious in so many ways to have a conversation with the athletes and moguls of the future. It’s hard to make it in the NFL. Still, this year’s rookie class is a gifted group that will undoubtedly impact the league. All in all, it will be interesting to watch how the novices use the guidance.
