South African rapper AKA might be dead but his memory is still very much alive. You only have to pay attention to Mzansi’s music industry to appreciate this reality.
Well, if you asked us, we would say you wouldn’t have to dig deep to get an example. AKA. associate, the rapper Khulani Morule. long famous by his adopted stage name, Khuli Chana. has just given us a value into this.
Never one to deny people their flowers, Khuli Chana had given a clue into his relationship with the late “Fela in Versace” rapper and how the songster “immortalised” him when he was alive.
He poured this out and more during a sit-down with Zingah on the “Choppin’ With It” Podcast. He not only noted that AKA immortalised him, but he also pointed out how AKA loved him as well.
Sadly, he didn’t notice the depth of AKA’s love until the last days.
AKA was shot dead last year just outside Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durband, He’d just stepped out with his friends when an assassin approached him and pulled the trigger, killing him on the spot alongside his former manager Tebello Tibz Motsoane.
If only AKA was here to receive his flowers.
