For many, perfect health is the dream – perfect health until a graceful old age at which time death may come quietly. But humanity is rarely wired that way. Throughout life, people experience one health challenge or the other, but not everyone gets to need surgery.
CBS host Stephen Colbert is one man who had to be operated upon recently following a ruptured appendix. He is currently recovering from the operation and his show is cancelled for the week to give him time to recuperate.
In a recent social media post, Colbert gave insights into his health scare and recovery, sharing what people might think was the cause of the health scare and discountenancing them. He informed his fans about his health challenge as well as thanked them for their support.
In his words, “I’m grateful to my doctors for their care and to Evie and the kids for putting up with me. Going forward, all emails to my appendix will be handled by my pancreas.” Yeah, it was natural for him to throw in a joke about hi health issue as well. if you missed the joke in the quoted part, that’s on you. Lol.
Hopefully, Colbert recovers well enough to make it back to “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
