Lil Baby Artist Dirty Tay Accepts 25-Year Plea Deal, 17 To Serve

In August 2022, the rap world was shaken by the news that Atlanta-based rapper Dirty Tay, born Kentavious Wright, had been arrested for the alleged shooting of a three-year-old boy and his father. The incident happened in broad daylight, outside a barbershop, when a Kia pulled up next to the father and son, and someone in the car opened fire, hitting the young boy in the head. Thankfully, the bullet was removed, and the child miraculously survived.

Dirty Tay is a rising star, signed to Lil Baby’s 4PF record label, and was reportedly stopped by the police on numerous counts. These included alleged attempted murder, aggravated assault, first-degree cruelty to children, violating Georgia’s Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, and more. He was subsequently booked into Fulton County Jail. During the traffic stop, Dirty Tay’s girlfriend was also taken into custody, and the police found a gun on her person, which allegedly belonged to the rapper.

The Atlanta Police Department claimed that the shooting was likely gang-related and that the three-year-old’s father was the target. However, Dirty Tay denied involvement and told his Instagram followers he was innocent. He pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, but according to a recent post by No Jumper, Dirty Tay has been sentenced to 17 years behind bars after accepting a plea deal of 25 years. Of the 25 years, 17 will be served in prison, and eight years will be on probation. The news of Dirty Tay’s sentence has caused outrage among social media users, many of whom believe that the sentence is too lenient, considering the severity of the crime. The incident has highlighted the toll that gang violence takes on innocent victims and their families and the need for stricter measures to prevent such incidents from happening in the first place.
