Lindiwe Zulu Out As Minister But Still Available To Serve

Change is constant. That is one reality we see manifest all the time and almost everywhere. Of course, this means different things to different people – welcome to some and unwelcome to others.

Well, if you are a follower of South Africa’s political universe, you are likely aware of the massive changes to the polity, with President Cyril Ramaphosa’s recent announcement of a new cabinet.

The cabinet was deliverely put together to accommodate figures from the opposition parties, most notably the Democratic Alliance. This stemmed from the ruling ANC’s failure to pull off a clear-cut majority at the polls on May 29. But that’s by the way.

The news is that one of those who wouldn’t be coming back to a ministerial portfolio is the Social Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu. She was one of those dropped in the recent new cabinet announcement.

But exiting the government doesn’t appear to be a big deal for her, as she has taken her exit from the government in her strides and even appears to be happy in her new space and ready to take up any other appointment that she might be given.

Whether she would end up getting another government appointment is unclear, but life goes on.
