Lolli Native Discusses Combining His Acting And Music Careers

Lolli Native’s name is becoming more prominent not only in South African hip hop, but also in the acting world.

The skilled “Nyanga” chanter has been cast in two hit television series: “Adulting” and “Isiphetho – Destiny,” an ETV telenovela. The Emtee Records musician revealed that his love for acting has always been just as strong as his love for music in an interview with the Quite The Ordinary Podcast. He stressed that connecting with the audience and delivering a story are key components of both acting and music.

After the season finale of Showmax’s Adulting S2, Lolli Native was praised for his appearance. The rapper says he intends to be seen on tiny screens more, adding acting to his already impressive portfolio. Luthando Dekeni, better known by his stage name Lolli Native, appeared in the first season of the show as an extra and then had a few lines in the second season to demonstrate his acting abilities.

His goals are to improve his skills and learn more about the performing business. Lolli Native also recently announced that he is preparing to release another album soon called Amandla, which is inspired by his sister Amanda and also serves as a tribute to how far he has come in his career. Amandla was inspired by the album Ivangeli, which was released two years ago.
