Marise Pollard hosts a blue-inspired baby shower in SA for her unborn child with Handre Pollard.
Marise Pollard, the wife of Springbok and Leicester Tigers player Handre Pollard has got Mzansi talking about her unborn child. The soon-to-be mom recently hosted a blue-themed baby shower, leading her followers to wonder if she is having a boy.
Everyone knows blue means it’s a boy and pink means it’s a girl. The couple, Marise and Handre, first shared news of their pregnancy after the Springboks made Mzansi proud by winning their second consecutive Rugby World Cup in November 2023.
Fans congratulated the couple for their first pregnancy while celebrating the Springboks’ win. The Pollards live in the UK, where Handre plays club rugby. They returned to SA to host a baby shower, which took place in the Brookdale Estate in Paarl, Western Cape, over the weekend.
According to The South African, the shower was attended by Springbok WAGS, Ingrid Malherbe, and Holly Clare Nichol. The shower also featured a blue and yellow theme colour, which led followers to wonder whether the couple was having a boy.
Holly Clare Nichol also shared a photo with Marise, which she captioned, “Great food, amazing people, and a glowing mother-to-be.”
