Mcdonald Ndou, Others Reportedly Returning To ‘Muvhango’

On Monday, fans of Muvhango expressed their joy on social media as they celebrated the much-anticipated return of KK Mulaudzi to the SABC2 soapie. According to entertainment commentator Mlu, the beloved actor Mcdonald Ndou has reprised his role as the charismatic villain, KK Mulaudzi, to the delight of viewers. Notably, KK Mulaudzi had been absent from the soapie since January 2022, making his return a highly anticipated event for fans.

“Mcdonald Ndou is set to make a return to his role as KK Mulaudzi on #Muvhango. The star is busy shooting with Word-of-Mouth pictures at SABC studios.”

The television show “Muvhango” shows a storyline where KK’s son, Kgosi (played by Tebatso Mashishi), is partaking in a traditional marriage ceremony. In this process, he has requested that his uncle Azwindini (portrayed by Gabriel Temudzani) act as his representative in the lobola negotiations. Additionally, fans of the show were delighted to see the return of actors Buhle Samuels and Sydney Ramakuwela, known for their roles as Matshidiso and Mulalo. Furthermore, entertainment commentator Jabu Macdonald has shared that “Muvhango” has been renewed for its upcoming 25th season.

In their reports for October and November last year, TVSA highlighted that the program has consistently attracted the most extensive viewership on the channel, surpassing 1 million viewers. Additionally, the latest figures from the Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa (BRCSA) for May confirm that the show continues to maintain its status as the most-watched program on SABC2.

In November 2023, Zimoja reported that actors and crew from the soap opera were left frustrated because they had not been paid since September, before the production break. According to a source from the production, the actors and crew risk losing their homes and cars due to non-payment.

“We have been on a production break since September and have still not been paid our salaries from before we went on a break. We are not getting any answers, which shows that we work like slaves at the hands of someone respected in the showbiz industry.”

Muvhango spokesperson Ndumi Mdletshe declined to provide a comment when contacted.
