Minnie Dlamini Fumes; Denies Musa Khawula’s Cheating Claims

Minnie Dlamini, an actress and TV host, has responded to blogger Musa Khawula, who is accused of murder, regarding her intimate relationship with the late MultiChoice executive Nkateko Mabaso. Over the weekend, Minnie allegedly cheated on Quinton Jones, her estranged husband, with Mabaso, according to Musa.

Musa’s post on X (formerly Twitter) read,

“Minnie Dlamini’s lover Nkateko Mabaso has passed away. Minnie Dlamini cheated on Quinton Jones with Nkateko Mabaso. Nkateko Mabaso was a CEO of M-Net before he was appointed as Netflix director of licensing and co-productions for Africa. Nkateko Mabaso had used his position/s to set Minnie Dlamini up with jobs at DSTV,”

Mabaso, who had a significant role in popular shows like Isibaya and important occasions like the DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards, passed suddenly on Wednesday, June 19, from an unspecified illness. Returning the favour in an X post, Minnie stated:

“I thought you said I cheated with Edwin Sodi? Now it’s Nkateko Mabaso? Which one is it? Who is next? Let it go bro damn. This is incredibly disrespectful to my friend’s family and his memory. People are mourning you have no shame!”

In a ZiMoja interview, the Honeymoon actress addressed the claims once more. She claimed that even though she is still angry, she won’t waste her money suing the contentious blogger since he is impoverished. Minnie said to the press,

“Musa is a psychopath and I hope he burns in hell,”

“I am going through a very ugly divorce. I can’t waste money on that guy. He has no money. What am I going to get? I am raising my son alone, with no financial support. I can’t just throw money away to prove a point,”

Nkateko Mabaso will have a memorial ceremony on Tuesday, June 25, at 17:30 and a funeral service on Friday, June 28, at 9:00. Johannesburg’s Bryanston Methodist Church will host both services. Following Mabaso’s departure, Nomsa Philiso, CEO of General Entertainment at MultiChoice SA, expressed her profound sadness and emphasized his significant legacy in developing well-known productions like Isibaya and The Queen and important occasions like the Channel O Awards.

“Nkateko, fondly known to most as NK was a maverick within the M-Net world where he held various roles and was instrumental in the implementation and growth of our Mass & Middle market propositions, with the flagship being the iconic Mzansi Magic.

“We will always remember NK, he left an indelible mark with his work on iconic productions such as Isibaya, The Queen and events such as the Channel O Awards, DMVCAs and a whole host of others. May his family, friends and colleagues find comfort during this very difficult time,”
