Mixed Reactions As WikiLeaks’s Julian Assange Sets To Regain Freedom

He meant different things to different people as the controversial founder of WikiLeaks, a body that has, true to its name, leaked some critical information about many countries, including the United States.

So critical were these leaks that attempts were allegedly made on his life. But he survived to tell the tale, only getting an indictment during the Donald Trump presidency.

Well, he was sent to the slammer but it’s a new era for him at the moment – an era of freedom, sweet freedom. He has reportedly reached a plea bargain with the authorities and will be regaining his freedom.

The news of his release provoked mixed reactions from across the world. Some see him as a hero and the poster boy of freedom and human rights and some see him as nothing more than a contemptuous figure whose indiscretions and revelations could have obliterated the security of nations.

Right now, though, Assange is much concerned about what people think or say about him but with the reality that he is now a free man. Who doesn’t like freedom?

Of course, all eyes will remain on him to see his new moves post-prison time. Stay tuned for more if you please.
