Mixed Reactions Trail Babes Wodumo’s Performance At Westville Prison

Mzansi singer Babes Wodumo’s recent performance at the Westville prison led to mixed reactions from her compatriots, some of whom appeared unimpressed with what she wore to the place.

The “Gqom Queen” herself took to her Instagram page to share slides of herself at the prison. She, however, didn’t share a clip of the performance. Still, for most South Africans, her performance was in focus, as well as what she wore to the prison.

She wore a red, ambitiously cut dress that accentuated her figure and also revealed parts of her body. Some social media users faulted her for the dress, accusing her of not having worn something appropriate for the occasion. You can check out the post below.

Babes Wodumo is making a comeback to the music scene after a hiatus induced by the sudden death of her husband, Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo. The former Big Nuz member had what was then described as a mild stroke. he unfortunately didn’t survive it. Now his widow is left to take care of their son alone.

So far, she has managed to pull herself together to perform on different occasions, including at an EFF rally. For her, of course, life goes on.
