Mzansi reacts disapprovingly as controversial music executive Nota Baloyi disrespects Caster Semenya while praising rising star athlete Prudence Sekgodiso for her record-breaking performance at the Diamond League 800m women’s track race.

Mzansi’s rising athlete Prudence Sekgodiso’s record-breaking performance in the Diamond League 800m women’s track race at the MarrakechDL has earned her so much praise in South Africa and the world. The star has been hailed by many and the country is proud of her.

Super Sport TV posted a video of Prudence, a two-time Olympic champion and three-time world champion in the over 800m division, on X and captioned it,

“South Africa’s Prudence Sekgodiso puts in a sublime performance to win the 1500m and record a world-leading time at the #MarrakechDL.”

Reacting to the tweet, Nota Baloyi praised Sekgodiso while disrespecting Semenya who he referred to as a man. He wrote,

“A real leading lady… That man can retire now!”

Mzansi was not impressed with his comments and they called him out for it. @PaultwinOkoye wrote, “I thought all Africans are in support of Caster? And then what changed?
