We recently reported about the woes local musician Sir Trill is facing in the music industry and how, according to him, he has not made a cent from the hits he has released so far. If you missed the story, you can check it out here.
Since his rant about his travails on social media, many South Africans have shared their thoughts, as well as advised him on the way forward. Among those who did was local music executive NOTA Baloyi.
In a tweet on X, NOTA blamed Sir Trill for his travails, appointing out that the way Sir Trill made his bed is how he would lie on it. He also made it clear that Sir Trill should handle his conflict with DJ Maphorisa by himself and stop blaming other artists who are loyal to the musician and have distanced themselves from him. You can check out the post below.
Sir Trill needs to handle his conflict with DJ Maphorisa by himself & stop blaming artists that are loyal to Phori for choosing to distance themselves… There are so many haters in his ear telling him he’s being blocked but nobody told him that he made his bed & must lay in it!😡

This isn’t the first time an artist has gone public about not having reaped the benefits of his music as a result of some control by superior forces. We have seen that over and over again, with Zahara being one of the most recent – and trending – examples.
Time will tell if Sir Trill’s woes will end anytime soon.
