Pirates Of The Caribbean Star Dies In Hawaii Shark Attack

Actor Tamayo Perry, best known for his role in Pirates of the Caribbean, tragically lost his life in a shark attack while surfing off the coast of Malaekahana Beach in Hawaii. The 49-year-old, who also served as a lifeguard, was fatally injured around 1:00 PM local time on Sunday. Despite the immediate response from emergency services and being swiftly brought to shore by jet ski, paramedics were unable to revive him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

At the time of publication, it is still unknown what shark species was responsible for attacking Perry. Perry is known for his role as one of the buccaneers in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the fourth instalment of the popular franchise released in 2011. This film features Johnny Depp as the eccentric pirate Captain Jack Sparrow, alongside other renowned actors such as Penelope Cruz and Geoffrey Rush.

Perry not only had roles in well-known TV shows such as “Lost” and “Hawaii Five-0,” but also appeared in the movie “Blue Crush” and the sequel to “Charlie’s Angels,” called “Full Throttle.” Additionally, he was featured in a Coca-Cola advertisement. Originating from the east side of Oahu, Perry had established himself as a professional surfer, dedicating over a decade to the sport.
