After a woman was shot and killed on Friday night, Bedfordview police on the East Rand are looking into a possible murder.
Police were cruising the neighborhood when they came upon the 57-year-old woman. Police observed the victim’s car parked on the side of the road, according to Gauteng police spokeswoman Col Noxolo Kweza. Not only was the woman shot on the side of the car, but the glass was smashed. Moreover, Kweza said that she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni, the commissioner of police for Gauteng, issued a call to action for anyone who may have seen the incident to come forward with any information that could help the police with their investigation. Mthombeni declared that the murder of defenseless women is intolerable and that every effort will be made to complete the probe.
