Post Malone And Morgan Wallen Break Records With Their Joint New Single, “I Had Some Help”

American musicians Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s new song, “I Had Some Help,” is creating history while breaking and setting new records.

The song became only the second single in chart history to debut with the support of all reporting stations, with 167 first-week additions on country radio. The first occasion was 27 years ago, in 1997, with the release of “Long Neck Bottle” by Garth Brooks.

The song also debuts at No. 15 on the Mediabase list, making it the second-highest debut of the period under observation, only surpassed by Brooks’ 2007 single “More Than A Memory.” With almost 14 million plays on Friday, May 10, “I Had Some Help” shattered Spotify’s record for the most streams in a single day in a country.

The song became the streamer’s all-time best male collaborative debut when it debuted at the top of Spotify’s Global Daily list. Upon its debut, “I Had Some Help” also peaked at No. 1 on Pandora’s Top Thumbed chart and at No. 1 on Apple Music’s Global chart.

Following Malone and Wallen’s historic sets at Stagecoach 2024 in Indio, California last month, where Malone performed his first-ever Stagecoach set with a lineup of country covers and welcomed superstar guests Brad Paisley, Sara Evans, and Dwight Yoakam during the outstanding performance, the single will be included on Malone’s first-ever full-length country album this year.
