‘Queen Modjadji’s Reps Proud Of Incoming Series

Mzansi Magic is gearing up to enthral its audience with the highly anticipated drama series, “Queen Modjadji,” a mesmerizing portrayal of the legendary Rain Queen’s tale on the small screen. This exquisitely crafted historical drama is interwoven with intricate and compelling storytelling and showcases a captivating blend of established industry veterans and promising new talents. These actors have honed their skills in the Khelovedu language, ensuring an authentic and resonant portrayal of these iconic figures.

The anticipation for “Queen Modjadji” has steadily increased since Mzansi Magic first announced its production. Viewers are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of this unique storyline, intrigued by the depth and richness it promises to explore.

The series boasts an impressive ensemble cast, each bringing a unique talent to the screen.

Ngelekanyo Ramulodi plays Young Queen Modjadji, also known as Maselegwani. Ngele is widely recognized for his compelling performances in S’phiwo, Fatal Seduction, and Noughts & Crosses. Masutang Rasekele, a bright new face in the industry, embodies the character of Dzugudini, a pivotal figure who rescues the kingdom from a devastating drought. Helen Lebepe skillfully portrays Raisibe, Modjadji’s trusted confidante, who provides guidance through royal duties and personal challenges.

Thabo Bopape delves into the character of Mambo Mugodo, an ambitious rainmaker driven to set right past wrongs. Shudu Musida and Ndavi Nokeri, both former Miss South Africa titleholders, debut as Muthanoni Mulalo and Muthanoni Khensani, integrating into the noble families of VhaVenda and VaTsonga through marriage.
