Nigerian Afrobeats icon Divine Ikubor, better known by his stage name Rema, didn’t hold back in a lengthy Twitter outburst that had followers talking about everything Afrobeats-related. The Rave Lorde stated that there is “no more big 3,” placing himself in the same league as Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido, as the fourth.
The Mavin Records musician made this statement during a lengthy Twitter tirade on Saturday, April 28, 2024, during which he discussed a number of Afrobeats-related subjects. The Nigerian music business is widely known for Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido, who are considered the “big 3” due to their remarkable achievements both domestically and internationally, as well as their durability and influence. This list is in no particular order, of course.
No more Big 3 there’s now a Big 4.

Rema’s rant didn’t end there; he went on blasting some of his peers. In a follow-up tweet, the famous musician stated, “Afrobeat >> AfroAnything,” an obvious allusion to the issue surrounding Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Fireboy’s recent allegations that their music is not Afrobeats. This is somewhat amusing, given that he once referred to his musical style as “Afro-Rave.”
Afrobeat >> AfroAnything

The singer also warned stylists to quit using his name to get free custom-made clothes from brands. The same warning he gave to labels, telling them to get creative instead of trying to “clone” him.
Labels get creative, stop trying to clone me.
