Robbie Malinga is one bloke who has no qualms pointing out the role his mother played in the person is today. His father, the celebrated musician Robbie Malinga, died when he, Jr, was still pretty young.
There was, of course, a gap created by his death. Fortunately, his mother was more than ready to fill as much of that gap as she was able to. The result was Robbie Malinga Jr developing a deep bond with her.
This reality formed part of what he disclosed on the set of the reality show “Born Into Fame.” The show brings together some of the children of some famous personalities in South Africa’s entertainment universe, including Owami Mafokate, daughter of Arthur Mafokate, and Tank the Rockstar, son of DJ Tira and Gugu Khathi.
About his mother and the role she played when his father died, Robbie Malinga Jr had this to say: “When my dad died, she made sure that the love at home was still the same as when he was still alive.” Well, he not only appreciates her effort, he no shares a profound bond with her.
By the way, Robbie also inherited his father’s love for fashion and the good life.
