Selena Gomez Dispels Rumors Claiming She’s Selling Her “Rare Beauty” Cosmetic Brand

Selena Gomez is mindful of the rarity of her cosmetics brand. The 31-year-old singer, actress, and businesswoman said bluntly in a recent interview with Time that she is not going anywhere despite reports that she intends to sell her cosmetics brand, Rare Beauty.

Although managing Rare Beauty, which was named one of Time100’s Most Influential Companies, has its commercial challenges, Gomez said that she prefers to concentrate on the ways in which she can use her platform to benefit others. Time reports that the Rare Impact Fund, the company’s charitable division, has already raised $13 million toward its objective of raising $100 million in the first ten years of the brand.

Furthermore, the foundation receives 1% of every sale of Rare Beauty, with the goal of facilitating access to mental health resources. According to reports, Rare Beauty is worth $2 billion. Amidst reports that she was leaving the organization, Gomez appeared to address the matter at the Time100 Summit in April 2024 in New York City.

Speaking to PEOPLE during the Soft Pinch Luminous Powder Blush launch in March 2024, Selena Gomez expressed her pride in her brand’s dedication to promoting positivism. The newest blushes from Rare Beauty, which have new names Cheer and Truth in addition to the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush family’s Hope, Happy, Joy, and Love, all carry on that theme.
