Famous actor and singer Selena Gomez opens up about her role in “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.”
Selena Gomez is undeniably one of the most talked-about actresses in the world today, earning praise for the work she puts in. She recently took on a role that means the world to her.
Appearing on a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Martin Short, Gomez’s co-star in the series “Only Murders In The Building” spoke to the actor about her latest venture. The South African reports that she executive produces the highly anticipated sequel to the iconic Disney Channel series, “Wizards of Waverly Place,” from which she gained prominence many years back.
Gomez’s breakout role was as the rebellious wizard Alex Russo in the Disney series. She shared how excited she is about it. The News reports that she told Short,
“I’m so excited about Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. It’s a show that means a lot to me. It brings me to tears because that is the beginning of where I started.”
She is reported to appear in the first episode of the sequel.
“To honour it in this way has truly been a blast,” said the actor.
The series premieres later this year on Disney Channel, and will follow Alex Russo’s older brother Justin, played by David Henrie, who will rediscover his magical abilities and step into a mentorship role.
