Mzansi reacts to a report that famous actor Sello Maake KaNcube and his beloved wife Pearl Mbewe allegedly fought in a hotel.
Top actor Sello Maake KaNcube and his wife Pearl have often slammed rumours that they are separating. The two have also put up a united front everytime there have been questions about their marriage. But recent reports reveal that the actor and his wife got into a heated argument at a hotel in the Eastern Cape, and things turned violent.
ZiMoja published a report that the actor his wife, Pearl Mbewe, got into it after performing in Grahamstown for the stage play The Suit. According to the publication, a witness who was in the same hotel as them alleges that Pearl Mbewe was “screaming and swearing at Sello.”
It is also said that Pearl Mbewe appeared the next morning with “a black eye and broken lips.” Sello is said to have left her there and travelled to Johannesburg despite her being in pain. There are also reports that Sello is trapped in the marriage because Pearl is also his manager.
In one of his previous posts, he praised his wife and said his father would have been proud of her.
“Pearl Mbewe Maake KaNcube @Solopearl, thank you for honouring being Mrs Maake kaNcube and carrying yourself with grace and class! My father would be proud! Makoti kaNcube.”
The publication wrote about him,
“That man feels trapped in that marriage because Pearl knows a lot about him, and she has people who will always clean her image while portraying him as a villain.”
