In the midst of the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, a defence lawyer representing one of the accused individuals has formally called upon Kelly Khumalo and Longwe Twala to provide testimony in court. Specifically, the lawyer aims to have both Kelly and Longwe address the origins and significance of the cellphone numbers recently introduced by Vodacom. The South African public has expressed relief and satisfaction in response to this significant development, stating that it is a long-awaited and necessary step forward.

The latest developments in the ongoing Senzo Meyiwa murder trial have shone a spotlight on Kelly Khumalo and Longwe Twala, suggesting that they may play a crucial role in the upcoming legal proceedings. Advocate Charles Mnisi, the lawyer for accused number three, has called upon Kelly Khumalo and Longwe Twala to provide testimony in court. In a video circulating online, Mnisi is seen pressing Kelly and Longwe to clarify the ownership of specific cellphone numbers referenced in court by a Vodacom representative.

The evidence will be removed from the record if they don’t show up in court. Many South African social media users were relieved, while some doubted it would lead to any progress due to potential lies.
