Snoop Dogg Refuses To Pick Sides In Drake Vs. Kendrick Lamar Beef

Snoop Dogg was inadvertently thrown into the ferocious altercation between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Concerning the latter, his voice was contorted for “Taylor Made Freestyle,” the second disc track, and the hasty sequel to “Push Ups.” The West Coast icon responded to the song on social media with a characteristic post. Snoop Dogg has never made it apparent whose side he chooses to support and has rarely commented since the beef started. Fans now have an answer as of late, which may annoy some who feel they must take sides in everything. HipHopDX claims that Entertainment Tonight questioned the Doggystyle originator on the significance of this dispute, particularly in light of his having seen some of the most illustrious beefs. However, Snoop Dogg shared a fairly rare and optimistic take on it all.

“Well, the only thing I want to say about that whole scenario is that I want to give both of them a shout out for raising the bar as far as lyrics, as far as song-making and as far as writing because the writing has been upped since the confrontation.”

Snoop elaborated on the reasons behind his decision to take this humanitarian approach. He expressed that he wanted to use his presence to positively impact the culture, not tear it down. He cited the feud as “personal business.”

“Those are my nephews. “I’m not in the middle of it. I support both of them, and that’s personal business, not mine.”

He chose not to intervene, but he did wish to thank them for their efforts to bring attention back to how important bars are. He wrote them a short note to thank them for their commitment to the cause. He might think about making a different kind of contribution in the future.

“As far as what they did for the industry and the rap game, they made you rap again. You can’t mumble your way and gimmick your way to a song any more, buddy. So, thank y’all.”
