Stogie T Discloses His Favorite AKA Songs And Why He Enjoys Them

Rapper and poet Stogie T recently expressed his respect for the late rapper AKA by sharing a selection of his favorite songs and the reasons behind their particular meaning for him.

AKA’s enormous influence on his colleagues and the wider music world may be seen in Stogie T’s thoughts. In an interview with Slikour on the What A Life Podcast, Stogie T compared AKA’s conscious rapping to his recently released Shallow EP. AKA didn’t mind trying new things. He experimented with Afrobeats and added parts of South African sounds to his hip-hop sound.

His sound remained current and drew in a larger listenership due to this blend. Consider it as him adding his unique South African flair to the soup of American hip-hop; that was Supa Mega levels. The combination of his self-assurance, adaptability, poetic ability, and immaculate delivery made up his powerful rap style. His influence continues to inspire, as he contributed to the redefining of South African hip-hop.

Ever since he entered the music scene more than twenty years ago with the release of the album At The Bassline by the now-dissolved Tumi and the Volume, Stogie T has not stopped pushing himself and creating incredibly creative music.
