Not everyone who has regrets is bold enough to articulate that for the public. It appears that South African musician Toya Delazy is one of the exceptions. She has some regrets and is not afraid to share them with the public.
This happened recently.
If you are a fan of hers or just happened to be a keen follower of South African music, then you are likely aware of her song “My City” for which she co-opted the rapper Cassper Nyovest.
In retrospect, Toya feels that she should have worked with AKA on the song instead. She pointed out that she was young at the time and didn’t listen to producers on who she should co-opt on the song.
She ended up giving the feature slot to Cassper Nyovest whom she described as a “vile” person, as you can see below. A fan pointed out that what has happened has happened and she should just move on with her life. See the post below.
Yeah, waste of a good song. I could have got Aka, but I was young and wasn't thinking, should have followed Sonys direction with this one, my heart was too big, and I gave a chance to a vile person. But I'm glad you dig it,

By the way, “My City” was released 9 years ago, when Cassper Nyovest was not as big as he is today. Also, today, Cassper Nyovest is a way bigger name in South African music.
