Gospel musicians from South Africa staged a unique event for radio broadcaster Zanele Mbokazi. Presenter Zanele Mbokazi of Ukhozi FM gained popularity on social media following her husband Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule’s announcement on national live radio that Mbokazi has been diagnosed with lung cancer and will be undergoing surgery.
Recently, on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at the GNF Church in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, radio personality and founder of the Crown Gospel Awards, Zanele, attended the prayer session held in her honor. Famous singer Dumi Mkostad led a special prayer session organized by gospel singers under the direction of Ga Ndlel.
On Mbokazi’s Instagram page, information on the prayer session at the GNF church was posted.
Zanele Mbokazi was overcome with emotion as she was prayed for by the pastor, gospel singers, churchgoers, and family members. Dumi Kokstad, an award-winning singer, was one of the performers. A stirring sermon was preached by Pastor Sandile Msimanga. Many of the radio personality’s admirers and followers showered her with love shortly after it was announced that she had been diagnosed with lung cancer.
The gospel community keeps coming together in support of her. Host of Ukhozi FM’s Sunday gospel program Eshilo, Zanele is still upbeat about her recuperation. Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule, her spouse, has expressed optimism in her ability to heal. This outlook was also expressed by Crown Awards board member Pastor Sthembiso Mtshali.
