Nigerian street rapper, Zlatan, is celebrating a decade in the music industry today, Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
When Zlatan, real name Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, thought back on his trip thus far, he thanked God and his old coworkers at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (Mapoly) in Abeokuta, Ogun State, for their support. Before his music career took off, he used social media to make an emotional message remembering his early days as an ambitious football player.
He claimed that the music competition he entered and won during his time at Mapoly was what turned his life around. Zlatan’s breakout musical achievement was a blockbuster song with YBNL label boss Olamide. This was the beginning of his ascent to prominence and prosperity in the Nigerian music scene.
Zlatan celebrated the event by posting an old picture of himself with a car he won at a talent show, which represented his rise from impoverished origins to fame in music.
Zlatan is still renowned for his distinctive musical style and upbeat live performances. The rapper recently ventured into the world of fashion lately by launching his own luxury clothing line, ZTTW (Zlatan To The World). He hosted a grand opening a couple of days ago in his posh Lagos store, where a lot of fellow celebs came out en masse to show their support.
