A little drama is playing out there in South Africa’s music universe. It has nothing to do with music, though. It has everything to do with witchcraft. The musician Zulu Boy has just been threatened by a local healer or inyanga named Mpamehlangene.
At the root of the whole drama is a stolen car of unknown make. Zulu Boy is apparently of the view that Mpamehlangene is the brains behind the stolen car and has called him out as a thief.
That move incensed Mpamehlangene, who threatened to make Zulu Boy mad through his command of mystical powers. He’d asked Zulu Boy to apologise but Zulu Boy is not ready for that. Not at the moment anyway.
Instead, he’d seemingly dared Mpamehlangene to do his worst. In that case, the ball is now in Mpamehlangene’s court to make good his threat.
The question now is, would he carry out his threats? And if he did, would the threat actually be effective? Can he actually make the musicians made?
